Colocynth for colic

Severe pain in the abdomen area is often referred to as colic. Colocynth is very effective in treating abdominal cramps and is indicated in pains that are often very violent, sudden and are of crampy character. Pains are severe and force the patient to bend double for relief. Colic comes with indigestion, over-excitement or anger. Such abdominal pains may be associated with diarrhoea, vomiting or nausea. It is also very valuable in treating abdominal pains during menses. Four to five doses of 30c potency repeated at an interval of 15 minutes should help alleviate the suffering

Diarrhea

Aloe Socratans- for foul smelling stools

Arsenicum Album - for child exhausted after a movement

Chamomilla, for soft stools associated with teething.

Nux Vomica for diarrhea resulting from over-feeding or when baby strains but can only pass a small amount of stool .
